This premium crop comes to you from the Colombian soil, from the Quindío region, Armenia, at an altitude of 1,200-1,700 above sea level, where Carlos Arcilla's farm, Castellon, is located, with an area of 7 hectares, at an altitude of 1,450 above sea level.
Carlos Arcilla comes from a Colombian coffee farming family and with his knowledge and experience when he bought the farm 32 years ago he prepared the soil, revived and developed the natural springs, planted colorful flower bushes such as heliconia and romelia, and several native trees. Now the Castellon farm is surrounded by trees and looks absolutely stunning.
Carlos is known for his strict agricultural practices, which results in high quality coffee crops.
The crop was treated using the anaerobic honey method, where the coffee is fermented for up to 72 hours while preserving the slimy membrane surrounding the coffee beans, and then spread out on raised beds.
